Welcome! I’m Danielle (aka The Cork Whisperer)
I have two passions in life – wine and travel. When I travel to a new destination, I’m more likely to spend time on a tour of the local wine country than in a museum or tourist attraction.
I’m not a wine expert, just a woman who loves wine and travel. I attended my first wine tasting while I was in college in San Luis Obispo, California, in the heart of Central California’s wine country.
California isn’t the only place you’ll find wineries. Wineries and vineyards are popping up in almost every state in the U.S. and every country across the globe. And each location has its own unique varietals that thrive in the conditions of the area.
As I’ve visited different local wineries in my home state of Wisconsin, I became interested in telling the stories of the hobbyists turned winemakers and the unique things they were doing with wine. And so this blog was born.
I welcome you to come along with me as I find the best wines, wineries, wine festivals, and wine tours around the world. And we’ll unravel the stories behind each sip.
